WHAT'S NEW - Jamie Lee Curtis cracks rib on the set

Jamie Lee Curtis cracks rib on the set of Halloween

This October sees the release of the newest installment of the Halloween franchise, with the same title as the original film that started it all: Halloween.

The sequel stars Jamie Lee Curtis returning to her iconic role as Laurie Strode, with Karen Greer and Andi Matichak starring as her daughter Karen and granddaughter Allyson.

“I knew I’d be tired, I knew I would work hard,” said Curtis, looking back over her time filming the sequel while speaking to Entertainment Weekly.

“I cracked my rib [shooting] those last sequences,” she added, discussing Laurie’s climactic showdown with the film’s infamous antagonist Michael Myers. “By the end of that sequence, not just the stuntman was taking Advil. We were all taking lots of Advil.”

“I mean, obviously,” Curtis continued,” there were stunt people involved, but all of the fighting is all me. Or a great, great majority of it is.”

Halloween released in the UK on 26th October.
