WHAT'S NEW - IOSH TV/Film Production H&S Advisor Training
IOSH TV/Film Production H&S Advisor Training
First Option Safety are now pleased to offer our IOSH TV/Film Production H&S Advisor training course to external individuals and companies.
Developed in conjunction with and accredited by the Institution of Occupational Safety and Health (IOSH), delegates will be provided with valuable knowledge, skills and qualifications. The two-day course will enable delegates to discharge more effectively their duties with respect to health and safety in productions and is designed to cover general health and safety issues within a production context, as well as placing emphasis on the specific production safety management issues that make the industry amongst the most interesting and potentially dangerous to work. A third day of shadowing an industry professional onsite either at a studio or on location is normally incorporated into the training however the current government restrictions precludes us from including this in current times.A prerequisite of a level 3 H&S qualification (e.g., IOSH Level 3 qualification Safety and Health for Business, NEBOSH General Certificate, or equivalent) is required. This training is aimed at H&S qualified professionals who may be interested in becoming, or who are already, industry professionals in the TV and Film sector.
“As a newcomer to the sector, I found the training extremely valuable. It has helped me to transfer existing skills effectively through structured learning, discussion and excellent course materials. I would fully recommend for anyone looking to gain expert insights into the inner workings of TV & Film production safety” - Martin Barraclough CMIOSH, Health and Safety Consultant, First Option Safety.
The IOSH TV/Film Production H&S Advisor course includes an interactive session utilising multimedia presentation, review of real life incidents, syndicate exercises, group participation and discussion. A 60% pass mark is required for both the online test and risk assessment assignment in order to receive the much coveted IOSH certificate.
The course will enable the learner to demonstrate a thorough understanding of H&S procedures and processes in relation to client advice, onsite support, safety issue escalation procedures and responses to accidents and incidents. For the full course content and to book your space, please click here.
